Editor's Comment: Playing the lottery is like a national sport in Panama. As with lottery games everywhere else around the world, your chances of winning are relatively small. But what the heck, for a couple of bucks you might end up with the $20,000 first prize. Something to do, fun if you're bored. They pull the numbers on Sunday morning on television, and the results also appear in the newspapers the next day. The also do drawings on Wednesdays, and the "fat" drawing at the end of the month.
